Color

Hamilton is so productive. She makes things constantly and records herself making things. It is delightful to see her at work and has embolden me to work in unfamiliar media, crazy colors, and different styles. I first took her online class Daily Portrait Challenge on CreativeBug and now follow her on Instagram @blueshineart.

Erickson finds some fantastic colors and has helped me with better understanding color choices. I took a fantastic course with Amy Erickson* online, Figure Oil Sketches (Winter 2024) at Penn Studio School of Art. She also introduced me to Kimberly Trowbridge and the Modern Color Atelier.

*Ok, so I may have mixed up my Amy/Aimee Ericksons at some point because I also love Aimee Erickson's use of color.
